Sean Dahlquist Flies

Sean Dahlquist is one of the Pacific Northwest's finest classic steelhead and spey tyers, working in the tradition of Olympic Peninsula legend Syd Glasso. His flies were featured in Art Lingren's book on Glasso, and he writes for Swing the Fly on the history and craft of steelhead fly tying. Sean has tied several step-by-step patterns with us on video, including the Sol Duc Spey. He ties featherwing and hairwing steelhead flies along with classic Dee and spey patterns, built to be fished, not just framed.
