It imitates a wounded baitfish, and should be fished accordingly. The foam popper head keeps it floating and makes a good disturbance in the water.

Fast strips lead to violent strikes, and often they will hit it two or three times before you hook them.

Being able to fish it fast also makes this one of our favorite searching patterns, as it allows you to cover a lot of water. The fly is approximately two inches long and it will also draw strikes from feeding salmon in the saltwater.
