These types of flies are called "Flat Wings". Tied on a corrosion resistant saltwater hook, the Veverka's Albie Special is a realistic baitfish imitation tied with Craft Fur for the top and bottom and in the center tyer's will either use Indian Rooster Saddle Patch (which is prefered by many for its consistant thin taper) or the next best choice (and for larger flatwings)- Chinese Saddle Hackle and lastly, accented with Holographic Flashabou for a realistic yet exciting presence.
