The Bomber was developed in the 1960s by Reverend Elmer Smith on the Miramichi River in New Brunswick. It features a compact, cigar-shaped body spun from deer hair, a stiff rear-facing wing, and a heavily hackled collar — making it ideal for skating or swinging across the surface.
