Whiting’s Silver Midge Saddles are one of the most consistent sources of true midge-sized hackle, and the White Dyed Medium Dun version gives you a clean, even dun shade with excellent barb stiffness for small dries. These saddles produce long, narrow feathers ideal for tying #18–#24, with many feathers small enough for #26 and beyond.
The fibers are firm and evenly tapered, helping tiny dry flies float high without adding extra bulk. Because the feathers are so long and uniform, you’ll get several flies from each one—making them a great value for anyone who ties large numbers of midges, tricos, or tiny technical patterns.
