Short and sweet, Burkheimer’s 11 foot 7 inch 7 weight delivers big spey performance in a compact rod that is a joy to cast and fish.
Burkheimer’s 11 foot 7 inch 7 weight spey rod is a delightful all purpose two hander, equally capable of casting Scandis and Skagits. The rod is very light in hand and can be fished day in day out with minimal fatigue. Ideal for summer steelhead, but the 7117 is stout enough to take on most steelhead you’ll encounter. This rod is great for light sink tips (T-8, T-11) and casts up to 80' all day long.
