Minnows / Sculpins

Baitfish can imitate a year round food source such as Sculpins, shiners or Sickle Backs. Baitfish patterns become important during warmer months of late spring and through the summer as the local community of fry begin to emerge from spawning beds and as the season progresses trout may become highly predatory and aggressive towards these soft, high calorie reward protein snacks. Try fishing these patterns imitating a wounded or disoriented baitfish.
