American Raccoon Tail

American Raccoon is a great material to keep in your tying arsenal. Its fibers give you the sense that you're tying with a cross between polar bear and arctic fox and can be used as such. Used as an intruder prop, spun into a dubbing loop its stiff fibers gives your fly a larger profile/shoulder that will hold in faster currents. It can also be tied in as a hair wing, or even as a tail/feelers on a shrimp or crayfish fly. Hand selected and custom dyed in house. Each tail is dense with fur and will tie many flies.
