Join seasoned vet Jeffrey Delia in his beach fishing class for Sea-Run Cutthroat and returning Salmon of Puget Sound on June 11th at 8am . He will cover everything from: rods, reels, lines, leaders, fishing bags, bait imitations (flies), casting technique, retrieves, reading the waters, tides, weather, and most importantly attitude and fishing therapy!
June 11th 11am-4pm
This is not a class you'll want to miss as it's a chance to learn from one of the best. From Waters West we will walk to Valley Creek Estuary Park (the beach is right across the street!) for the beach part of the class and if time permits return to Waters West for a slide presentation on "Sea-Run Cutthroat and returning salmon fishing in Puget Sound", and a question and answer period.
We suggest you bring the following:
6 or 7 wt. fly rod with a floating line
9 foot tapered 2 or 3X leader
Spool of 3 or 4X tippet material
A few of your favorite sea-run cutthroat flies
Waders or hip boots
Sunglasses and appropriate clothing for weather conditions
Washington State fishing license
If you have a portable, easy to carry chair it might be helpful as we will be on the beach for a few hours.
Walk away tired from a good day of fishing and learning. Jeffrey also proivdes invaluable handouts and a killer presentation that makes this quite the bargain at $95/angler
Class size is limited to 8 people
