Tie Your Own Miyawaki Beach Popper

Starting at: $55.00

Top water fishing is one of the most exciting ways to fish for sea-run cutthroat, and the Miyawaki Beach Popper flat out produces. It imitates a wounded baitfish, and should be fished accordingly. The foam popper head keeps it floating and makes a good disturbance in the water. Fast strips lead to violent strikes, and often they will hit it two or three times before you hook them. Being able to fish it fast also makes this one of our favorite searching patterns, as it allows you to cover a lot of water. The fly is approximately two inches long and it will also draw strikes from feeding salmon in the saltwater.

These are all of the materials you will need to tie your own Miyawaki Beach Poppers. There are enough materials to tie around 3 dozen flies, but your limiting factor will be hooks, shanks and Pops. If you plan on tying the full 3 dozen, then make sure you add the additional materials.
