Dyed Over White (or Bleached) Rhea Feathers (qty 1)

Rhea is the most recently discovered "answer" to the longest, best spey hackle. These great feathers are especially being utilized on the magnum-sized tubes, flies and shanks.

Some pretty wild, beautiful and deadly prawns, squids and classic speys have been created in recent years with rhea.

The demand for dyed-over-white feathers often tends to be greater than the supply.
We have had to decrease the number of different colors that we dye over white to our four most popular colors: Hot Orange, Hot Pink (Cerise), Kingfisher Blue & Chartreuse.

All colors will still be available in the Dyed Over Natural Gray Rhea.

The length of our feathers average 14"-16", and the largest feathers have fibers 5"-6" long. At least the tips of most feathers can be wrapped. The rest can be pealed from the stem and wrapped or cut off the stem and then spun in a dubbing loop. Quite a few flies can be tied with each large feather, making these prime feathers more of a value than many realize. The movement of each fiber in the water is tremendous. Even the slowest water imparts tantalizing motion to your flies.
